Espresso

This drink is the truest Italian classic. To brew it properly, the hot water is run through one portion of ground coffee for 25 seconds. The crema , or small amount of firm coffee grounds, forms on top of the espresso.

Preparation:

  1. Place a small cup or glass under the coffee machine.
  2. Brew a single espresso shot into the cup or glass.
  3. Serve with a glass of sparkling or still water.
