Halapeno and cheddar cheese bread

Ingredients for 500g bread :

28 g room temperature pickled jalapeño pepper
65 g cheddar cheese
175 g wheat flour
45 g wholemeal wheat flour
12 g wholemeal rye flour
4 g sea salt
20 g olive oil
175 g water at room temperature
4 g dry yeast

Preparation:

  1. Cut the jalapeño pepper into smaller pieces and grate the cheese.
  2. First, place the wet ingredients – water, oil, sugar, and salt – in the baking dish of the bread maker.
  3. Next, add the jalapeño pieces, rye flour, wheat flour, and dry yeast.
  4. Set the bread maker to dough mode with a 25-minute timer. After 15 minutes, add the grated cheddar cheese to the dough and continue kneading.
  5. Then set the fermentation mode with a 30-minute timer.
  6. Finally, set the baking mode and adjust the timer for 1 hour 35 minutes. Choose medium or dark loaf setting if available (optional).
  7. Once the bread is ready, remove it from the baking dish and allow it to cool for at least 1 hour before slicing.
