Freshly marinated peaches in Moroccan spice syrup

Ingredients for 4 servings:

500 g peaches
120 g sugar
100 ml water
50 g ginger
2 cinnamon sticks
3–4 cardamom pods
2 star anise
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 teaspoon cloves
280 g Turkish yogurt
100 g almonds

Preparation:

  1. Peel and slice the ginger.
  2. In a saucepan, add the sugar, water, ginger, and spices; bring to a boil and let cool.
  3. Cut the peaches into quarters and place them in a vacuum bag. Add the syrup with all the spices. Vacuum seal and let marinate overnight or for at least 3 hours.
