But first – why do you need an air fryer if you already have an oven?

It’s a fair question, since both appliances work on the principle of hot air circulation. However, air fryers heat up faster and, thanks to their compact design, cook much more efficiently. Especially when preparing small portions, they use less electricity than a full-size oven. Concentrated hot air ensures even cooking throughout.

Plus, cleaning an air fryer is much easier: the units come with non-stick baskets and trays that are often dishwasher safe.

What air fryer size is right for you?

For small households of one or two people, compact models with a capacity of 3.5 litres or 4.5 litres are a great fit. These air fryers save space, are efficient and perfectly suited for small portions.

For medium-sized families of three or four, models with a capacity of up to 5.5 litres are recommended, such as the Smart Air Fry AIR850 or Smart Air Fry AIR755. These air fryers come with spacious containers that are more than enough for family-sized portions.
