How to choose a meat grinder

Home-ground mince, sausages, kebbe – a meat grinder lets you control both meat quality and grind size. But which one to choose? We’ll help you find the right Stollar meat grinder!

What to look for when choosing a meat grinder?

The key factor – how often you plan to use it. For occasional use, a compact model with a plastic body will do. For regular use, choose a grinder with a metal gear drive and aluminium body – it will last significantly longer.

The second question – the number of grinding plates. Two plates (fine and coarse grind) are enough for everyday needs. Three plates add a medium grind – more options for recipes.

Finally – do you need just a meat grinder, or a food cutter as well? Some models come with a rotary food cutter that lets you slice, shred and grate vegetables, cheese and nuts.
