Ingredients for 4 servings:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion
1 carrot
1 celery stalk
4 cloves garlic
400 g beef
1 teaspoon paprika powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon flour
820 g canned tomatoes
3 tablespoon tomato paste
3 small potatoes
150 g brown lentils
1,2 litres of stock
pinch of salt
Preparation:
- Cut the onion, carrot, and celery into small pieces and chop the garlic.
- Pour the oil into a bowl, select the “frying” mode, and set the temperature to 160°C. Add the sliced vegetables and roast for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Cut the beef into small cubes and add to the vegetables in the bowl. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the meat is browned.
- Add the paprika powder and cumin to the bowl, stir, and cook for 2 minutes.
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into small pieces.
- Add the flour to the meat and vegetables, mix well, then add the remaining ingredients – canned tomatoes, tomato paste, potatoes, lentils, and stock. Mix everything together.
- Select the “soup” setting, set the time for 2 hours, close the lid, and let the soup cook.
- When the soup is ready, season with salt to taste and serve with fresh herbs and sour cream.
