How to choose a blender

What to look for when choosing a blender?

The first question – what do you prepare most often? For smoothies and cocktails, a compact blender will do, but for soups, sauces and purées you’ll need a countertop model with a larger jug. If you also want to chop, grate or slice – a multi-functional blender will replace several appliances.

The second factor – motor power. 1000 W is enough for everyday tasks, while 1500–1800 W ensures faster and more even blending even with tougher ingredients – ice, nuts or frozen fruit.

Finally – jug material. A glass jug is durable, doesn’t retain odours and is dishwasher safe. Tritan® plastic is lighter and impact-resistant – more convenient for travel and everyday use.

Compact or countertop?

The key question is your cooking habits. If you mostly prepare for yourself – smoothies, protein shakes or small portions – a compact blender with a Tritan® jug is the more convenient choice.
