Grey pea hummus with bacon and chanterelles

Ingredients for For 1 jar:

200 g grey peas
70 ml olive oil
100 g bacon
50 g sesame seeds or 2 teaspoons tahini paste
1 clove garlic
salt, pepper
rye bread for serving

Preparation:

  1. Cook pre-soaked grey peas or use steamed.
  2. Cut the bacon into smaller pieces and fry crispy.
  3. Blend the sesame seeds, garlic clove and olive oil to make a tahini paste. Add the cooked peas, salt and pepper and blend until smooth. Add more olive oil to make it more homogeneous and easier to blend, or, if you want a more creamy taste, add the fat from frying the bacon.
  4. Served on rye bread with chives.
